Our Attorney

Robert Knight obtained his undergraduate degree in English from Ole Miss and then graduated from the Paul M. Hebert Law School at LSU. While at LSU during his second and third years, Mr. Knight clerked for a numerous law firms including Unglesby Law Firm and Gauthier & Amedee. He founded Knight Law Firm in 2006 with an emphasis in litigation.

Mr. Knight holds active licenses in the states of Louisiana, Texas, Colorado, and Montana. He is also licensed by the United States Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. He has successfully handled thousands of cases and has been recognized by numerous clients, attorneys and the judiciary for his work and high achievement.

Mr. Knight is a 2022 graduate of Baylor Law School's LL.M Program. An LL.M is a Masters of Law which focuses on a specific discipline in the law such as admiralty or tax. While the number of attorneys holding an LL.M is unknown it is generally accepted that less than 20 percent hold that distinction. Baylor Law School's LL.M. program focuses on litigation and is the only program in the country that offers this curriculum.

Mr. Knight is a licensed SCUBA diver and enjoys diving in various locations such as the Florida Keys. He enjoys aviation and has accumulated well over forty hours working with his instructor. Since birth, Robert has been a voracious reader and spends a great deal of time traveling. During duck and deer season, Mr. Knight can usually be found in a blind somewhere in the continental US. Because he is a small business owner he is active in supporting and advising other small businesses.

One of the highlights of my appellate court was being asked to orally argue before the Louisiana Supreme Court, which is by invitation only.
